I had a hysterectomy way back in 97. Of late I feel like my ovaries and uterus are having hard, cramping and electrical like shocks. Anyone know what this may be?

i am scheduled for a vaginal hysterectomy,and was wondering about the recovery time and the after pains!!! I will be keeping my ovaries but not my cervix, also how long are you truly in pain. i have read some women saying that it was so easy and the recovery time was not bad and no pain meds was needed?? that is so hard for me to believe but everyone is different…but any real stories would be great just to give me an ideal of what I am looking at..I do not tolerate pain at all!! thanks

Uterus and cervix removed. Everything else still there.

I have been diagnosed with Mymo and do not want to undergo a hysterectomy. I would like to know if there is a doctor or centre which does no invasive treatment for this condition.

if you no longer have a period are you still bleeding alot after this surgery? If so for how much more longer? thanks

I have been told many different things but all by women who have not had a hysterectomy. Is it true that you can not feel anything in that area? I know everyone is different i would just like your opinion pls thank you.

I want to have a child naturally as far as carrying it and being mine and my husbands is this possible I just want to know if it is possible to be performed and if there are any doctors that will be willing to perform the procedure

Lately it seems to be occuring more often than before.

I’ve heard eventually it turns from the red scar to a light silvery scar. How long does that take? I still have a red gash across my abdomen.

I am 29 years old, soon to be 30. I have one child, an 8 year old boy. Ever since last April, my cycle has been severely off. I went for 2 or 3 months with no bleeding, and I had 0 chance of being pregnant. Then I had about a month of constant spotting, some days heavy spotting, but not enough to call it menstruating and some days very light, but still enough that I had to wear a pad or liner constantly. Then after that, I bled for 3 months straight very very heavy. By heavy, I mean I was soaking completely through an Ultra tampon (the biggest size you can buy) AND an overnight pad in aprox. 30-45 mins. This stopped on this past Boxing Day (Dec. 26/08) Last Wednesday (Jan. 22/09) I started with heavy spotting, and then the next day it was like I was bleeding to death. I seriously do not know how I am not passing out. I have been going through an Ultra Tampon and an overnight pad or bladder control pad every 20 minutes! Sometimes I start overflowing after only 10 minutes. This is insane, I have gone through over 2 boxes of tampons and a big bag of pads in 3 days!

Last summer, when all of this was first starting, I went to the Dr, and had a pelvic ultrasound, and an intro vaginal ultrasound, as well as pap smear and blood work. Everything came back normal.

I can’t live like this anymore. Last night I had to change my pants 5 times because they were soaked in blood, and I was sleeping on top of towels which I changed just as many times. This was from 3am when I went to bed until 10am. So only 7 hours.

I just want to know if any of you have ever experienced this before, and what your diagnosis was/is? I really would like to just go get a hysterectomy. I don’t want anymore kids, and I am going to be 30 in a few months so I think I am old enough to make this decision. But I know the dr’s will fight me on it. As much info as you all can give me will be great. Thank you so much.
