You don't have a uterus if you've really had a hysterectomy. It is the surgical removal of the uterus.

I had a little bit of mild discomfort, but I wouldn't say I was really in "pain". A lot will depend on how well or poorly you tolerate pain. It is true that you may feel so well that you forget you've had surgery. If you do not tolerate pain, I would suggest you take the pain medication your gynecologist will prescribe for you after your surgery. Be warned--pain medication may cause you to be constipated and that may be worse than the hysterectomy pain.

I had my Vag Hyst - 5wks ago & I feel AWESOME!! For the after pains - I took Advil & did lots of short walks & have not had any other problems!! I had my uterus, tubes & cervix removed & kept my ovaries. I was back to work (12 hour shifts) after 4wks.
The other thing that helped me was - I had a spinal anaesthetic - not a general. I was up & walking the halls within 5 hours of my surgery being completed!!
On the night of my surgery - I had a lot of back pain, but it was caused the packing..... so I took Advil & Tylenol every 4hours & used hot backs on my lower back to help ease the pain. I was offered morphine, but I didn't want to use it because of the nausea that can happen with morphine. Being a stubborn red-head, I toughed it out!! Once the packing was removed (24 hours after surgery) I felt like a million bucks!! I was up & in the shower an hour later!!! ;-)
I had some mild lower back pain for 10-14 days after surgery - once again, Advil & warm packs helped!!
Good Luck!!

Yes, you can. You should do a web search of "egg donation" in your area.

You must mean MYOMA. If it is small your doctor may just leave it alone and see if it gets bigger. Most of the time patients end up with a hysterectomy.

After six to twelve weeks usually women feel totally recovered and the sexual activity can return after going back to the doctor's. Hysterectomy does not have effects for depression or menopause - like excess bleeding. It does not cure all bad effects of middle age.

If you've had a complete hysterectomy - ovaries and uterus removed - then you will not have a period.

The surgery itself shouldn't cause much if any bleeding. If it does it should be short lived.

If you had a partial hysterectomy , with an in tact cervix then you will still bleed, -- though you aren't ovulating etc of course.

IE: The shedding of the uterine lining is NOT a period.. or not a menstrual cycle it is just the uterine lining and the bleeding part of a menstrual cycle.

Technicalities aside bleeding after a hysterectomy is not common, especially prolonged. It definitely warrants a call, and subsequent checkup.
